Business plane The Falcon 6X, the thirteenth ever produced, landed on Thursday (April 17) at Nikola Tesla Airport. It is most likely a new aircraft of the Air Service Government of Serbia, reports the aviation portal Tango Six.
One of the newest types of business aircraft in general, the Falcon 6X was delivered to Serbia after several flights that illustrate the standard delivery dynamics of a newly produced aircraft, equipping its passenger cabin and soon formal registration in the Serbian national aircraft registry, writes Tango Six stating that the aircraft will be registered as YU-RSB.
The aircraft under the temporary French registration F-WZOK, after production in that country, appeared for the first time in America, at the "Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport", where it most likely received a selected interior in the specialized location of the Dassault company for equipping business aircraft.
As Tango Six reminds, the president of the Freedom and Justice Party, Dragan Đilas, recently announced on the X social network that Serbia will soon acquire a new plane.
"It seems that together with the Rafale from France, the Falcon is also arriving for the needs of state officials - read Vučić. The price is a real trifle - fifty or so million euros," the SSP leader wrote at the end of March.
The speculation that the Falcon was part of the contract for new multipurpose fighter jets, worth 2,7 billion euros, according to Tango Six, is most likely not incorrect information. However, according to public sources, price estimates for the new Falcons put most of the Falcon 6X in the "fifty-something million" range, this portal points out.
The "Business Insider" portal estimates the value of one Falcon 6X at around 53 million euros.
The President of the National Assembly, Ana Brnabić, responded to Đilas on the same day, mentioning the price of "40 million euros" but without denying Đilas' claim about the specific purchase.
The Falcon 6X is so far the largest business jet in the 60-year history of the production line of these types of aircraft of the French manufacturer. It is the successor of the discontinued 5X program, whose general aerodynamic solutions it inherited but with new engines that provide it with an advertised range of 10.186 kilometers, according to Tango Six.
What aircraft does the Serbian Government have?
According to the national aircraft register, the Aviation Service of the Government of Serbia currently has two registered business jets.
These are the Embraer EMB-135BJ "Legacy", registration number YU-SRB, as well as the Falcon 50, registration number YU-BNA.
In addition to these two planes, the state also owns a Learjet 31A plane, whose official user is the Republic of Serbia.
