The master plan for the international exhibition "Game(s) for Humanity" under the brand EXPO 2027 foresees 2,7 million visitors. If so many come, Belgrade's accommodation capacity will not be sufficient, so the Port Management Agency has announced a tender worth 29,1 million dinars for the preparation of a study and conceptual solution for the installation of ship-hotels to accommodate guests on the Sava and Danube rivers.
Hotel ships for the needs of the EXPO 2027 project would be in operation from December 2026 to November 2027, and the creator of the conceptual concept will choose three potential locations - two on the Sava and one on the Danube, Nova ekonomija writes.
On each of them, they will try to design and design up to five mooring places in continuity, for the mooring of up to two hotel ships up to 135 meters long and up to 12 meters wide per mooring place.
The bidder should choose the most favorable location, which he will then elaborate in more detail.
Among other things, the aforementioned criteria will include the traffic connectivity of the location, accessibility to public transport, the availability of communal infrastructure (possibility of connecting to the electricity grid, the Internet, the possibility of supplying drinking water, garbage removal, waste disposal, etc.), as well as possible negative impacts on safety development of water traffic.
The deadline for the performance of all services from this subject of public procurement is 120 days from the date of signing the Agreement.
