People's representative Aleksandar Jovanovic Zuta and a group of activists they tried to prevent the auction sale of the Stara šečerana today.
Jovanović said that the auction will be blocked until all information is published on the website of the Agency for Licensing of Bankruptcy Trustees, including the names of the bidders.
The Agency said that bidders are never published.
"That hammer you have here, it serves to respect the law," said Jovanović Ćuta.
Activists who were in the hall demanded that the auction be stopped, stressing that cultural heritage cannot be sold off. They try to prevent the sale by shouting, interrupting and taking the bidding cards from the auction participants.
"Your face is at stake, gentlemen." One cannot serve big capital forever, one cannot be a servant to big capital forever," said one of the activists.
Despite this, the auction was held, and the Sugar House was sold.
