General Manager of Srbijagas Dusan Bajatovic claims that Serbia will sign a long-term contract with Russia on procurement gauze.
"We will get a long-term contract, there is still a question of price, it will not be for less than three years, and it cannot be for more than ten years, if we agree on how to cover it financially," Bajatović said.
During his guest appearance on TV Happy, he pointed out that without Russian gas, there is no gas equation.
For now only until September
The general director of Srbijagas reminded that Europe plans to completely stop Russian gas in 2027.
In that situation, for now, Serbia has only signed the annex to the existing contract on the gas arrangement with Russia, which is valid from June 1 to September 30, and which provides 6,1 million cubic meters of gas per day at a price of 290 euros, and Bajatović announced that gas will be cheaper for the economy.
The annex extended the same conditions, and the price was agreed according to the oil formula.
Soon 2,5 billion cubic meters?
As Insider reminds, Bajatović said in May that an agreement on the purchase of gas had been essentially agreed with the Russians and that Serbia would buy 2,5 billion cubic meters of gas per year, instead of two billion.
He told RTS then that the details are being discussed and that he believes that the next contract will be signed for ten years.
