"Belgrade remains" initiative announced that they had initiated an administrative dispute against the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and announced that the dispute would also be initiated against the Government of Serbia because the contract on demolition of the Old Sava Bridge and the construction of a new bridge, writes FoNet.
The contract was signed by the Government of Serbia and the Directorate for Construction Land and Construction of the City of Belgrade and the Chinese company Powerchain, and attempts to reach contract and project documentation have been going on for months, said lawyer and public procurement expert, as well as initiative activist Rastko Naumov.
He says that the Directorate refused to submit the contract with the explanation that the Contract is allegedly of a secret nature, while the General Secretariat of the Government of Serbia rejected the same request for the submission of information of public importance, even after clarification, as irregular.
"It's outrageous because we also stated the number of the contract under which it was filed in the Government and what it refers to, but obviously they don't want to share the contract with the citizens," adds Naumov.
He clarifies that he filed an appeal against the decision of the Directorate to the commissioner, and since the commissioner did not make a decision on the appeal within the deadline provided by law, an administrative dispute was initiated against the commissioner due to the administration's silence.
He announced that he will initiate an administrative dispute against the Government's decision rejecting the request for the disclosure of the Contract with the Chinese company on the demolition of the Old Sava Bridge and the construction of a new one, since an appeal against the Government's decision is not allowed.
