This long-time MUP police officer was born in Kraljevo, but built his career primarily in Novi Sad. Before coming to the head of the Police Administration, he was the head of the Group for General Crime, and then the Deputy Chief of Police.
Shire became widely known in 2016 when he was appointed head of the Criminal Police Department in Subotica, where he left Novi Sad. After several years, he returns to Novi Sad together with the then mayor Milorad Šušnjić and continues to work in high positions in the administration.

However, in May 2025, Radonjić was dismissed, and according to the daily newspaper Danas, the dismissal was due to the intervention of the police against the supporters of the Serbian Progressive Party in front of the party premises on the Boulevard of Liberation a few days earlier.
He was then replaced by Nevenko Marić.
Shift after shift
Marić worked for a long time in SBPOK, and was later appointed assistant to Ninoslav Cmolić, head of UKP.
Marić was previously known to the public, because in January 2024 he was convicted by a final judgment of the Appellate Court in Belgrade for mobbing an inspector who at that time was working on the investigation of the murders of journalists Slavko Ćuruvija and Milan Panić.
He held the position of Novi Sad police chief until the end of January this year, and just a few days later, Marić was appointed to the position of assistant chief of the Criminal Police Directorate (UKP).
Marić thus practically returned to the position he held until May of last year when he was appointed head of the PU Novi Sad, with the fact that now the head of the UKP is Marko Krichak.
After that, Momčilo Sovilj, former deputy of Marić, but also a long-time member of the Novi Sad police, was appointed acting head of the Novi Sad Police Department.
Sovilj drew the attention of the public because of police interventions during student protests.
The reason for the change was the arrest of the batterer
However, already at the beginning of March, information appears in the media that Sovilj will also be removed from his position. Danas sources said at the time that Sovilj was directly reproached for allowing the arrest of Gorski Matović, who is currently under house arrest on suspicion of attacking students at a protest in front of the Serbian National Theater on February 16.
The replacement did not happen then, but in April, when the Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that Vladan Stojanović had arrived at the head of the Novi Sad police.
Colonel Stojanović was born in 1976 in Belgrade, where he graduated from the Higher School of Internal Affairs and the Police Academy.
From 2022, he performed the duties of the head of the Department for Suppression of Organized Narcotics Trafficking in the Service for Combating Organized Crime, during which period several dozen members of organized criminal groups were identified and prosecuted, who were involved in narcotic drug smuggling on the territory of Serbia, in the region and globally, according to the MUP.
He was promoted to the rank of police colonel in 2024.
