More publicly prosecution (VJT) in Zrenjanin announced that it is investigating a criminal complaint that points to human trafficking and violation of rights of workers from Bangladesh.
The non-governmental organization Astra warned recently that the pattern of serious injuries is repeating working and human rights of migrant workers employed in a Chinese factory Linglong in Zrenjanin. It is about a group of workers from Bangladesh.
Immediately after workers from Bangladesh reported violations of labor and human rights, the company reacted not by improving working conditions, but by tightening internal control, the Zrenjanin Social Forum announced.

The VJT statement states that after discussions with Bangladeshi citizens about their employment, data collection related to their accommodation, work and residence permit, time effectively spent at work, fulfillment of employers' obligations towards these workers, as well as whether there were controls and whether any irregularities or illegalities in work were found.
It was emphasized that it is necessary to check whether the workers are from Bangladesh by force or threat, misleading, abuse of authority, trust, dependence, difficult circumstances, retention of personal documents with the aim of exploiting their work.
After checking and collecting information, the prosecutor's office stated that it will be able to inform the public in a timely manner about the results and further actions of the prosecutor's office.
Prema previous reports, it is about suspected violations of labor and human rights at the Linglong factory in Zrenjanin and suspected forced labor and human trafficking of migrant workers from Bangladesh.
