More than 400 employees at Faculty of Technical Sciences (FTN) in Novi Sad expressed dissatisfaction with the growing media and physical violence towards students protesting across the country, asking the administration of their faculty to, as an institution, take over student requirements as their own.
Attacks on students, which include serious attempted murders, attacks with cold weapons, as well as other types of threats and pressures, are a direct consequence of verbal aggression and the atmosphere of lynching in our society, for which we hold the holders of the highest public positions politically and morally responsible, it is stated in initiatives of FTN employees.
They point out that they fully take over the student demands as their own, i.e. they demand the urgent publication of complete documentation related to the reconstruction of the Railway Station in Novi Sad, the initiation of criminal prosecution and the implementation of criminal proceedings against the legal and physical persons responsible for the fall of the canopy, as well as resignations and determination of criminal responsibility Prime Minister Miloš Vučević and Mayor of Novi Sad Milan Đurić.
It is requested to initiate criminal prosecution and conduct criminal proceedings against all persons responsible for attacks on schoolchildren, students and citizens during peaceful demonstrations in accordance with the law and to initiate criminal prosecution and conduct criminal proceedings against police officers responsible for attacking and injuring Ilija Kostić.
We, the undersigned employees of the FTN of the University of Novi Sad, request to the competent bodies of the faculty that our faculty, as an institution, officially take over the stated student demands as their own, the initiative states.
