The Higher Public Prosecutor's Office (VJT) in Belgrade ordered an urgent determination of the identity of the persons making the threats Veselin Milić in the premises of the District Prison in Belgrade, where the former head of the Belgrade police is currently being held as one of the suspects in in the case of "Senjak".
"Upon receipt of the submission of the defense attorney of the suspect Veselin M, in which it is indicated that for now unknown persons are threatening him in the premises of the District Prison, the VJT ordered the Second Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade to open a case without delay and take all actions provided for by law in order to establish the identity of the unknown persons who are threatening the suspect", the VJT statement stated.
The order was given in order to prosecute the person in accordance with the law due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of "endangering security" was committed in the specific case, the VJT stated.

Criminal proceedings are being conducted before the High Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade against the suspect Saša V. and others due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offense of "aggravated murder" has been committed, as well as certain evidentiary actions are being taken against the suspect police officer Veselin M. in the same criminal proceedings for the criminal offense of "failure to report the criminal offense and the perpetrator".
By the decision of the High Court in Belgrade dated June 12, Veselin Milić's detention was extended, which according to that decision can last until July 12.

The Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions announced that it is concerned about the safety of all persons deprived of their liberty in the District Prison in Belgrade, thereby reacting to VJT's allegations that for now unknown persons are threatening the suspect Veselin Milić in the District Prison in Belgrade.
The Directorate for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions for N1 stated that the District Prison in Belgrade is the largest detention unit in the country with the largest intake and release of detained persons and that therefore special attention is paid to strict compliance with security procedures.
