The Department for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of the Interior has issued a warning of freezing rain from January 5 to 7 for Srem, Belgrade, southern Banat, Šumadija, Pomoravlje, eastern, western and parts of southwestern Serbia.
The warning was sent by SMS to citizens' numbers.
"It is recommended that you stay home due to freezing rain. Very hazardous driving conditions are expected. Power outages are possible. Use caution and follow the instructions of the authorities," the warning said.
