"The police arrested 13 people on suspicion of defrauding the Republic Directorate for Commodity Reserves and a company from Mladenovac for more than two million euros," announced Nenad Stefanović, chief prosecutor of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, on Friday.

The head of the Clinic for Emergency and Clinical Toxicology of the Military Medical Academy (MMA) of the JSJ was arrested for abuse of official position.
This is stated by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade and adds that she is suspected of obtaining material benefits for herself and others in the amount of more than three million dinars.
It is suspected that in the period from April 2023 to September 2024, using her official position, she gave instructions to her subordinate doctors that in the medical reports, for patients who were examined in the toxicology clinic of the MMA Emergency Aid Center due to acute intoxication, the same instructions that in order to pay for the services rendered, they should report on Tuesdays between 15.30:17.30 p.m. and XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. to the MMA Polyclinic room instead of they were charged for these services in the auxiliary treasury of the VMA.
The mentioned patients were registered in the overtime protocol, with the false representation that these patients were examined after working hours.
After the reception of the patients, they were charged for the previously provided and unpaid services.
In this way, the JSJ acted contrary to the Rulebook on financial operations of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Army, as well as the Order of the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the organization of the work of the treasury, and in this way obtained a financial benefit for itself and others in the amount of 3.116.214,18 dinars.
