In a joint action of the UKP and the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade he was arrested Marko Daničić, who is suspected of participating in the murder of an MMA fighter two years ago Stefan Savić.
Police Minister Ivica Dacic revealed that Danicic was arrested in Grocka.
Daničić, using his brother's ID card issued in the Republic of Croatia, entered Serbia from the territory of Croatia on February 10, 2026, and hid until the moment of his arrest in Belgrade.

"The arrest of MD is a continuation of the action when the police officers of the Department for Targeted Searches - FAST team of Serbia, in intensive and long-term cooperation with the FAST teams of France, Romania, Hungary and Spain, arrested Vasilij Gačević in January, in Barcelona, for the same crime," Minister Dacic said.
His accomplice, Vasilije Gačević, was arrested in Spain on the basis of an international warrant issued by Serbia's Interpol Belgrade a few days ago.

Stefan Savić, a member of the Serbian national team and MMA fighter, was killed in the night between February 24 and 25, 2024 in Dorćol.
In the night between February 24 and 25, Marko Daničić and Vasilije Gačević brutally brutalized Stefan Savić in Dunavska Street, Dorćol, after which they just walked away from the scene as if nothing had happened, and the search for them has been ongoing ever since.
They reached the restaurant "Dorćoleta" and after a verbal argument with the murdered Stefan Savić, Vasilije Gačević pulled out a knife and then Stefan Savić started to run away. Gačević and Daničić caught up with him and hit him several times with their hands and feet in the area of the head and body, and then Vasilije Gačević stabbed him with a knife on his body and legs, as a result of which the injured Stefan Savić died.
The aforementioned acts are punishable by a maximum prison sentence of 40 years.
