You know when on the TV show Everybody Loves Raymond Debra tells her husband to take out the trash because it's Tuesday? Well, it will be the same in Surčino.
Namely: on August 15, the crews of the Public Utility Company "Gradska čistoća" Belgrade, in cooperation with the Surčin Municipality, distributed to the citizens of Karađorđevo around 80 free green bins for disposal of household and conventional municipal waste., and blue bins for disposal of recyclable packaging waste.
The containers will be removed..
Leave the bins in front of the gate
Fellow citizens are obliged to leave the received bins in front of their gates so that the "City Cleanliness" teams can empty them at the exact agreed time, which they will be informed about on the spot.
Until then, they keep them in their yard.
Every household that receives a bin will also receive brochures with clear instructions, rules, and additional educational content on how to properly sort, dispose of, and transport this type of waste.
From that brochure, they will be able to learn that only clean and washed aluminum beverage cans, transparent plastic beverage bottles, caps, plastic packaging, paper, cardboard and Tetra Pak packaging, magazines and newspapers should be placed in the blue bins, as well as that the "Cleanliness" teams will only take the specified recyclables from the blue bins.
Study the brochure
They will be asked not to use their bins to dispose of rubble, soil, ash and embers as this will cause permanent damage to the bin which they will have to replace at their own expense.
The action of free distribution of bins to fellow citizens was launched with the aim of improving the organization of garbage removal in narrow streets where there is not enough space for placing containers, as well as to make it easier for fellow citizens to dispose of municipal waste.
Until now, the PUK "Gradska čistoća" Belgrade has distributed a total of over 75.000 green PVC bins for the disposal of conventional municipal waste and more than 60,000 blue PVC bins for the disposal of recyclable waste to individual households in the territory of Belgrade.
