A group of about 500 students and high school graduates from Nis set off today, March 9, at 11 a.m. from the Manasija monastery near Despotovac on foot on the road from 193 kilometers to Belgrade, where a large student protest will be held on Saturday, March 15.

Three kilometers from the Manasi monastery, the citizens of Despotovac met them, gave them a welcome, and they all fell silent for 15 minutes in order to pay their respects to the victims in Novi Sad, Juzne Vesti reported.
After the silence, the students continued their journey together with other Despotovcans who escorted them to the exit of that place.

A day before the students from Nis, a group of 80 students from Subotica set off on foot towards Belgrade, in order to arrive at the protest that will be held on March 15.
The first place where they spent the night was Bačka Topola, in the physical education hall of the Gymnasium and Economic School "Dositej Obradović". At around 17:XNUMX p.m., they were welcomed by high school graduates at the Event Square in the center of Bačka Topola.
On Sunday, after breakfast, they headed to Srbobran, where they plan to spend the second night.
