"Pioneer Park represents an area of historical, cultural, biological and archaeological importance," they said students in lockdown of the Faculty of Biology in Belgrade, after the appearance of the former greenery of this park was radically changed.
A group of students who call themselves "students who want to learn" have been camping in Pionirski Park since March 6.
"Students 2.0"they set up tents on the green area, mobile toilets, tables and chairs, and after the day after the protest on March 15, the residents of the camp en masse left the park overnight, they left behind a mountain of garbage.
After public outrage over the state Pioneer Park was left in, a few "students who want to learn" bought flowers to plant in the damaged area. Miloš Pavlović, the leader of students who are so eager to learn that they demand an immediate end to the blockade of the faculty, spoke about this action, who said that the entire park had been cleaned.
"We went to buy flowers and plant them in Pioneer Park. We have some other ideas on how to beautify it," said Pavlović.
Grossly violated points of the Rulebook
Students of the Faculty of Biology state in the statement that there are autochthonous species of plants in this area, some of which are protected by the Rulebook on the Proclamation and Protection of Strictly Protected Wild Species of Plants, Animals and Mushrooms.
Some of the most valuable plants mentioned are horse chestnut, ginkgo, oak, and many other species.
The decision on placing the natural asset "Pioneer Park" under protection, through Article 4, establishes general and special measures of protection and use which, among other things, prohibit the change of surface use, the performance of activities that endanger vegetation, the construction of new underground and above-ground installations, as well as the disposal of waste.
"It is not allowed to carry out work in a protected natural resource without appropriate technical documentation prepared in accordance with the previously obtained conditions of nature protection issued by the nature protection organization", it is indicated in the rulebook, which the students highlighted in their announcement.
Considering the ten-day stay of "students 2.0" in Ćaciland, almost all points of this article were violated, the students claim. They add that, among other things, the "boyfriends" installed new installations and left behind a large amount of garbage, which endangers vegetation and protected natural resources.
On the edges of the former Ćaciland, there are puddles of gasoline that have leaked from previously brought tractors.
The manager of this protected area is the Public Utility Company Zelenilo Beograd.
Students of the Faculty of Biology in the blockade appealed to all citizens to send applications to the email address of the Secretariat for Inspection, Supervision and Communication - inspection@beograd.gov.rs.
