Students of Novi Sad faculties announced a new protest rally in Novi Sad for January 17, saying in a video published on social networks that the concretization of their fight will follow.
Under the slogan "What does victory mean?", the students say: "On January 17, see you in Novi Sad."
Stating that they had no idea what was waiting for them when they started this fight, the students pointed out that from that moment on they were building togetherness - in blockades, in happy moments, in problems.
"We didn't divide, but built unity. Through effort and work, we gained trust, and the energy that accumulated during 2025 is now taking on a new form. The concretization of our struggle follows," said the students in a video published on the Instagram page of the "Student Chamber", which is the official page of students in the blockade of the Faculty of Law in Novi Sad.
"The snow is falling, the regime is shaking, and we are preparing for January 17 in Novi Sad," is the message on the students' Facebook account Faculty of Philosophy in Novi Sad.
Previously, on December 28, students across Serbia collected around 400.000 signatures of support for the calling of extraordinary parliamentary elections, which is their main demand that crystallized in protests after November 1, 2024 and fall of the canopy at the train station in Novi Sad, which killed 16 people, and one was seriously injured.
The students told the citizens that the previous year, no matter how difficult it was, was also special thanks to each of them and filled with moments of solidarity, courage and humanity.
"Be proud of yourselves, because you marked it with sacrifice, commitment and love and played an important role in changing the society we are building together," said the students.
