Ivanjica without electricity
Elektrodistribucija Srbije announced around 3:00 p.m. that the fault on the 110 kV transmission line Arilje-Ivanjica has been fixed.
They stated that the transmission line has been put into operation and that the power supply in Ivanjica will be restored successively by substations, which is necessary due to the extreme cold.

Repair of the fault
An hour later, New Face of Serbia city councilor Ivan Jovićević, who called from Ivanjica, told N1 that the power went out on Saturday, January 10, around 18 p.m., due to a fault in the transmission line supplying Ivanjica, which comes from the direction of Požega and Arilje. That power supply was interrupted at one point and then the power supply from the territory of Požega continued and then that power supply was also interrupted. Practically, Ivanjica was left without electricity".
Novi Sad, Belgrade
Novi Sad students in the blockade organized a snow and ice cleaning action this weekend, to which a large number of citizens responded, cleaning sidewalks and footpaths.
Emergency teams in Belgrade intervened more than 20 times today based on calls from citizens who were injured due to slipping on snow and ice, and as FoNet was told, due to weather conditions, they expect the number of interventions to increase during the day and evening.
They warn that the most dangerous places are those where the snow has been cleared, because the asphalt is often covered with a thin, almost invisible layer of ice.

Minister Sofronijević: In the beginning, there was a bit of misunderstanding, but I wouldn't say that anyone made an appointment
The Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure of Serbia, Aleksandra Sofronijević, stated that all state roads of the first and second order are passable, admitting that "there was a bit of confusion at the beginning", but that she would not say that anyone had failed, but rather "normal problems" in the weather conditions such as these days.
"The only impassable roads are those that go from Donji Milanovac to Majdanpek and Straž-Brezovice near Ivanjica na Golija. All other road directions are passable. There was a little confusion at the beginning, but the situation improved day by day. So today we can say that all the first and second-order road directions are passable for us, including those always problematic sections," the minister stated in the Serbian Radio Television program.
She added that there are the most problems on mountain passes, such as Jarm on Kopaonik and Czestobrodica, as well as on roads along rivers due to the appearance of fog.
"For highways and motorcycle roads, this means that the snow is cleared for both the passing lane and the traffic lane, and then the stop lane is also cleared. This is something that is an obligation according to the winter maintenance plan, according to the existing regulations of our roads. Does this mean a dry road? It does not mean in these conditions, but it means that it is cleared of snow and that salt is sprinkled preventively due to the formation of ice, possibly when freezing rain starts," said Aleksandra Sofronijević.

Glišić: Serbia solves problems with snow faster and more efficiently than European countries
The Minister for Public Investments of Serbia, Darko Glišić, said that at the moment, Serbia is solving the problems caused by the snow more quickly and efficiently than European countries.
"Work on the low-voltage network is ongoing in the spa region, it should be prevention. We learn from every disaster, but there are things we cannot prevent. Even developed countries in Europe are facing bad weather. It is important that state authorities are available and that problems are solved," said Glišić in the Serbian Radio-Television program.
According to him, there are currently 50 active construction sites, and when time permits, another 20 will be opened, while some will be completed and closed in the meantime, and the total value is 55 billion dinars.
He pointed out that almost all owners whose buildings were damaged during the summer were compensated, except in individual cases in which it is determined who the owner is.
