Kopaonik, the largest and most famous ski resort in Serbia, this winter again came under criticism from tourists and fans of winter sports. Visitors point out problems in the organization, quality of infrastructure and services, which, they say, do not match the price of the ski pass and the expectations for this destination.
Among the most common complaints are crowded lifts, insufficiently maintained slopes and inadequate signage, which lead to frustration, especially for families with children and beginner skiers. In addition, users of the networks often point to the slow reaction of the authorities in the event of a stoppage of the cable cars, an inadequate price-quality ratio, as well as excessive prices in catering establishments.
Tourists also state that the prices of ski passes, food and additional services, such as equipment rental, do not match the quality of the services provided.
One of the more well-known users of the TikTok social network, Mara Ognjenović, stated in a post that only three tracks are working, and that the conditions on one of them, "Krštu", are very bad.
The video titled "Ski resorts of Serbia = theft" shows an untidy track with very little snow.
"Most of all, near Kopaonik, I like to be located in Rtnja, where I have direct access to the trail. However, the 'Mali Karaman' trail does not work. And then I like to go to the center by car, and have the shovel parking mafia wait for me there: 'Good day - Good day: 1.000 dinars'. And I like to sit in a cafe, order tea and pay 500 dinars for it. That's my taste," says this Tikto girl ironically. in the post and says: "Ski resorts of Serbia, shame on you, this is embarrassing how the ski resort looks, and you are charging full price. Shameful"!
Another user of this network, Saša Sinđelić, criticizes the work of the Ski Resort of Serbia in her post and expresses the hope that something will be done about this situation.
"I am located in Brzeć, from which gondola takes me to the center, to the ski resort. Now, watch out for this - it is snowing and it's minus and that's why the gondola doesn't work, because they didn't expect it to be cold, in minus and snow. Of course they didn't organize transportation for people who are in Brzeć, but now I'm expected to pay another 4.000 for the ski pass that I paid 30.000 dinars for seven days of skiing and 4.000 back," she points out and adds that calling telephone support is futile.
In the announcement, she adds that because of all this, she swore that she would never come to Kopaonik for skiing again in her life, and that in the future she would spend her money abroad for winter holidays.
According to the price list of Ski Resorts of Serbia, the price of a six-day ski-pass for adults ranges from 24.900 to 27.100 dinars, while a one-day ticket is between 5.600 and 6.500 dinars.
Prices in catering establishments vary depending on the location: coffee ranges from 250 to 450 dinars, tea or mulled wine from 350 to 600 dinars, while a burger on the trail costs 1.000 dinars. Meals range from 600 to 900 dinars for breakfast, up to 3.000-3.500 dinars for lunch.
