At the meeting of trade unions, representatives of media associations and management of RTV, an agreement was reached on the initiation of several important processes - the selection of editors and program directors, the new Collective Agreement, the reception of the student delegation and other issues.
On Wednesday (March 19) at a meeting of trade unions, representatives of media associations and management Radio and Television of Vojvodina (RTV), an agreement was reached that the Management of RTV will initiate several important processes in accordance with the demands of employees and trade unions.
General Director of RTV Goran Karadžić signed the request to announce a competition for the selection of all seven editors-in-chief and program directors of RTV, who have been in acting status for years. The contest will be published in two media, and the deadline for applications will be 30 days.
Karadžić pointed out that all candidates are required to submit a program development plan with their application.
The issue of the dismissal of the acting editor-in-chief of the First Television Program, Nenad Ćaćić, remains open until the end of the competition, that is, Director Karadžić clearly answered that he is not ready to submit a request for the dismissal of Nenad Ćaćić, but that the competition will certainly be announced for her position as well.
New systematization of jobs
Regarding the request for the adoption of the new systematization of jobs, the director stated that without leveling the coefficients, which is the recommendation of the State Audit Institution, the new systematization is currently not realistic.
The continuation of negotiations on the new Collective Agreement is scheduled for Friday, with the expectation that it will be completed no later than May 11, when the current collective agreement is valid, and Karadzic expressed the hope that an agreement will be reached earlier.
The request for the payment of a one-time aid to employees in the amount of 15.000 dinars was assessed as unrealistic at the moment, but the director announced the possibility of discussing the payment during the year, perhaps before the annual holidays, at the latest on RTV Day, November 29.
The director of finance will make a statement about the assessment of financial possibilities next week and invite the unions to a discussion.
Reception of the student delegation
Also, it was agreed that in the next seven days the director will receive a delegation of students with the mediation of the trade union.
Regarding the presence of the police in the RTV building, Karadžić stated that it was the decision of the security services due to the assessment that there is a possibility of an attempt to forcibly enter the building.
An official notification was sent to employees about the reasons for the presence of police officers. The decision to withdraw the police from the RTV building is not within his jurisdiction.
After the meeting, representatives of journalistic and media associations and unions sent a written letter to the general director to state in writing about each individual request of Darko Šper in the hope that he will make a decision on ending the hunger strike in the near future.
The meeting was attended by: Stevan Ristić (AS MEDIA), Ana Lalić Hegediš (NDNV), Predrag Novković (KUM Nezavisnost), Tamara Filipović Stevanović (NUNS), Maja Sever (EFJ), Dejan Jocić (RTV Trade Union), Marko Čalić, member of the Board of Directors of RTV, Goran Karadžić, Director General of RTV, Deputy Director General Sanja Kužić Jašarević and member of the Board of Directors Jožef Klem.
The resignations of all editors and journalists who "allowed Dnevnik 2 and other news programs to present untruths and insults against students and other citizens" are demanded.
