And the flaws? It can be expensive - about a thousand euros, or more.
Marko Božinović, the owner of the playroom "Leut" in Vračar, says that the demand for playrooms increased sharply after pandemics, but that it has declined in the last year and a half, primarily due to the financial and political situation in the country.
As he stated for "Vreme", a large number of new gambling halls have opened in the meantime, so today there are "cafés, restaurants and betting shops - on every corner".
How much does it cost?
Birthday celebrations usually last up to three hours, and parents they generally choose between two models: "all inclusive", which includes space rental, animators, staff, food and drinks, and a simpler model in which rent is paid separately, and especially food and drinks.
However, in practice what seems simpler often turns into a series of surcharges. Somewhere the price is per adult, somewhere according to the number of children and parents, and somewhere there is a basic package that is only valid for a certain number of guests. If that number is exceeded, additional ones follow costs.

Playground birthdays aren't just for kids. Parents of other children often come with the birthday boy and his parents, especially when the children are younger, so packages are often calculated according to the number of adult guests.
Božinović says that in his playroom the basic package costs 25 euros per adult and there is no extra charge for children. The package includes space rental, staff, animators, food and drinks.
The offer of food and drinks depends on the package, but also on the game room. Sandwiches, pizzas, barbecue, appetizers, but also alcoholic beverages, from beer and wine to whiskey, depend on the wishes and the depth of the parents' pockets.
Božinović says that they chose such a model because they consider it the most transparent for parents, unlike playgrounds that limit both the number of children and the number of adults.
"There are mass restrictions on people in playgrounds. Let's say, up to 20 people there is one price, up to 30 another. They condition the number of children, and for everything over a certain number there is an additional payment," explains Božinović.
Toddlers up to the age of three must be under the constant supervision of their parents, while older children can play independently with their friends. Birthdays in playrooms of this type are most often celebrated by children up to 12 years old.
Birthday three hours, a bill of one thousand euros
Pricelist according to the data available on the Internet, range from 24 to 50 euros per person. However, the final amount mostly depends on how the packages are formed.
One birthday party in Voždovac offers a package for the parents of the birthday boy and up to 35 children for 485 euros, while a package for 65 adults and 65 children costs over a thousand euros.
Na New Belgrade a nursery has packages ranging from 680 euros for an unlimited number of children and 15 adults, up to 1.500 euros for an unlimited number of children and more than 50 adults.
In other words, the prices of children's birthday parties in Belgrade they can easily reach the amount of the average salary, and in more luxurious places they far exceed it.

In a game room in the shopping center "Galeria", u Belgrade on the water, only renting space on weekends is 40 thousand dinars, while on weekdays the price is lower.

In a playroom in Kraljev the price of a birthday party for 25 children and 25 adults costs 16 thousand dinars. The price includes space rental, soft drinks, invitations and two animators. Food is paid additionally, as well as alcoholic beverages.
In the south of Serbia, in They are not, "all inclusive" birthdays cost from 40 to 45 thousand dinars for a two-hour birthday.
Finally – cake
Cake is almost never included in the price.
According to the Food Safety Act, the cake must have a declaration. Restaurants and playhouses are not allowed to accept and serve homemade cakes, and the goal is to prevent food poisoning. Fines for legal entities and entrepreneurs who do not respect the law go up to 500 thousand dinars.

Cake prices range from three to ten thousand dinars per kilogram, depending on the pastry shop, so that amount should be added to the cost of the celebration.
Birthday parties in playrooms are a practical solution for a few hours of children's entertainment, but that practicality can also cost a few average salaries. Because when you add to the basic package what is not included in the price, children's birthday parties easily grow into a serious item of the household budget.
