Archive of public meetings announced on Friday (March 7) evening that from 19 p.m they have no contact Vladimir Nikolić, professor of the Faculty of Fine Arts and one of its founders, is not available by phone.
Later, the same evening, they stated on the X social network that "he was released after several hours of detention at the Stari Grad Police Station."
What happened
When they announced that they had no contact with the professor, they wrote that his phone was in use, despite being unavailable. They also published a screenshot.
After he was released from the Police Station, the Archive announced on the X social network that Nikolić lost control of the drone on Friday around 18 p.m. during the flight from the direction of Svetogorska Street towards Takovska, when the aircraft suddenly changed direction and continued its flight towards Pionirski Park.
As stated, after a search in the field, the drone was found in the park next to the House of the National Assembly, and then persons who identified themselves as members of the police approached Nikolic and took him to the Stari Grad Police Department.
The statement adds that after giving a statement about the incident, Nikolić was released, while the police detained the drone, which "currently makes it impossible to analyze the cause of the loss of control over it and its sudden change in flight direction."
"Under normal circumstances, in case of signal loss, the drone is programmed to automatically return to the take-off point with an appropriate warning," the Archive stated, adding that such a procedure was absent in this case and that, given the unusual behavior of the aircraft beyond the control of the operator, they suspect that unknown persons took control of the drone.
