Member of the "Be a hero" movement in Novi Sad Misha Baculov was arrested again, for the third time before or after the protest. Immediately after the news of the arrest, lawyer Milan Alanović told "Vreme" that it is not yet known for what crime he was arrested and what he is charged with, although the media close to the government announced that he "planned to fake his poisoning and accuse Aleksandar Vučić and the state leadership."
"What can I comment on these allegations - it's unbelievable and tragicomic, if we lived in another country we could laugh. But, since we don't, the arrest can show potential danger and fabrication on all sides. The state stops because people go to the memorial service," says Alanović.
Lawyer Vladimir Horović comments for "Vreme" that, if the arrest was made on the order of the prosecution, there is a well-founded suspicion that it is an abuse of the position of the prosecutor.
Prosecutor's Office: "Poisoning Planning"
Six hours after the arrest, the prosecution finally announced itself.
"According to the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade, members of the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RS arrested the MB and DC due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that they planned and agreed with at least one other unknown person for actions that create the conditions for the immediate execution of the criminal offense of attack on the constitutional order," it was announced.
As they point out, it is suspected that from October 28 to 30, 2025, they conspired in Belgrade to allegedly poison the MB, for which they would accuse the President of the Republic of Serbia and the current state authorities, and which, according to their opinion, would result in mass protests scheduled for November 1 in Novi Sad, causing major disturbances, which would then lead to a coup d'état and a violent change of government in the Republic of Serbia.
The criminal report charges the suspects with the criminal offense of preparing an act against the constitutional order and security of Serbia. They were detained for up to 48 hours, during which time they will be brought in for questioning.
