Citizens donate water to the Mother and Child Institute

At the meeting of the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, with the leaders of the University of Belgrade, they discussed the persecution and targeting of the academic community, as well as the need to initiate a broad social dialogue.
The Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, Danijel Sinani, told FoNet that on Wednesday (April 30) he was in conversation with the European Commissioner for Enlargement Martom Kos pointed to unprecedented pressures on the University of Belgrade, as an institution that enjoys a high reputation and trust in the public, reports FoNet.
Sinani said that he is in an open and constructive conversation Marta Kos thoroughly familiar with the persecution and targeting of students, teachers, deans and rectors, as well as with the fact that the teaching staff at the faculties were practically deprived of their salaries by an illegal and unconstitutional decree.
The need to initiate a broad social dialogue was also discussed, and further regular communication was agreed upon, Sinani said.
Marta Kos had a meeting with representatives of the academic community in Belgrade.
It was announced that representatives of the European Commission had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the situation at universities in Serbia.
The University of Belgrade was represented at the meeting by Rector Vladan Đokić, Dean of the Faculty of Political Sciences Maja Kovačević and Dean of the Belgrade Faculty of Philosophy Danijel Sinani.
