In conversation with Jelena Jorgacevic, lawyer Rodoljub Sabic says that he is not at all optimistic about the Council of REM, that he expects to hit the wall, but that he should try. He talks about why he joins REM with three other independent experts, the hackneyed phrase "giving legitimacy" and the attacks he is exposed to.
The interview is in the new issue of "Vremena", which is on newsstands from Thursday (July 16).

"The government's campaign was to be expected," says Sabic. "Even though they are pretending, they really care about us abandoning REM in order to solve everything ourselves. That's why the on-call, highly paid bots are spreading nastiness at our expense. However, what is surprising and below all levels are the insinuations and accusations of treason coming from the mouths of people with whom we are in the same machine. The organized bot attack from that side is worrying because it shows that it is about the exact same mentality that dominates the regime: they are only interested in the truth if it suits them, and if no - the most mundane disqualifications are allowed. And that gives a rational person the right to wonder - will we really get a perfect democratic level tomorrow, when they take power?"
