Professor Maja Kovačević she was officially re-elected as dean Faculty of Political Sciences (FPN), and she was voted dean last week by the Teaching and Research Council of the FPN, after confirmation and verification by all competent faculty and university bodies, she officially has a new term of office that lasts three years, writes FoNet.
Maja Kovačević was already voted for the dean of FPN, but she Ministry of Education requested a repeat vote.
The educational inspection ordered that the elections for the dean of the FPN must be repeated, due to problems with the formation Student of the 2024 parliament.
"Probably they won't stop there, we'll see what happens next, but it doesn't matter - we'll go step by step. I'll continue my work where I left off," said Maja Kovačević.
Dean, c. d, then dean again
Maja Kovačević was elected dean of FPN in February 2025.
More than a year later, the educational inspectorate ordered a repeat vote for dean, so on March 3, 2026, Kovačević was appointed acting dean by decision of the Faculty Council.
"The request for a repeated vote is a form of pressure on the faculty, but we will resist that pressure," Kovačević told "Vreme" at the time.
On March 12, the teaching-scientific council voted her again as dean.
