A new roundabout was built at the corner of Blagoj Parović and Knez Višeslav streets, and while car drivers think that it is a good traffic solution, it creates a new obstacle for drivers of articulated city transport buses, which they can barely avoid, he announced. N1.
Bus 23, which goes from Karaburma to Vidikovac, also passes in that part of the city. In a video posted on the X social network a few days ago, one articulated bus can be seen barely passing by while another waits in line.
Cars, in the meantime, can do nothing but wait for the vehicles of the city prevpza to compete with the new gem of Belgrade's traffic.
The problem lies in the fact that there used to be an intersection at that place, and the work on the roundabout has not been fully completed, so the road has narrowed a bit.
Traffic engineer Milan Božović said that "the lanes are wide enough, and that bus drivers need a little time to practice passing through the roundabout".
He adds that when the works are finished, there will still be a meter or a meter and a half of free width for the passage.
Considering that this morning Belgrade is in fog, he says that it is necessary for the vehicles to be illuminated, and considering that the visibility is 200-300 meters, he estimates that this is quite enough for the normal and safe functioning of the traffic.
