Ministry of Health brought temporary measures in the General Hospital in Cacak after a man (38) who also underwent tonsil surgery died in the night between February 11 and 12.
Let us remind you that on February 4, a four-year-old girl was operated on in this institution, who also died immediately after the operation on the third tonsil.
In the night between February 11 and 12, another death occurred in the Čačan hospital, which occurred in the postoperative course after the operation of the third tonsil in a 38-year-old man, the Ministry of Health announced on the website of this institution.
"The patient, although he is not our insured, applied for the mentioned surgical intervention on his own due to breathing problems from which he had been suffering for years, aware of the risk of the intervention itself due to other associated diseases from which he suffered," the website states.

Immediately after receiving the information, the Ministry of Health sent its inspectors to Čačak, and by the decision of the Minister of Health, the management of the ENT department in the OB Čačak was taken over by the doctors of the UCC Srbija and UCC Kragujevac, until all the circumstances that led to the two deaths in this department in an extremely short period of time are determined.
In addition, the Minister of Health Zlatibor Lončar gave an order on the introduction of temporary measures in OB Čačak, which implies taking over the management of this health institution in the coming period.
The Ministry of Health once again sends its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased.

The investigation into this case is being conducted by the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Čačak, which ordered an autopsy of the child's body and toxicological analyses.
Citizens, including the mother of the deceased girl, protested in front of the hospital, a director Dejan Dabić resigned.
An autopsy has been ordered, and the Cačan hospital points out that it is being determined whether there were any omissions in the treatment.
