As stated, these measures come after Brussels did not take into account the requests and suggestions of the carrier on the facilitation of procedures at the borders.
The president of the Association for International Transport from Serbia, Neđo Mandić, clarified that the protests do not refer to passenger crossings, but exclusively to cargo terminals, where trucks be parked so that it is not possible to enter or leave the goods at any time.
"Imports and exports will literally stop, and supply chains practically do not function without our carriers," Mandic pointed out.
According to his words, in the last two years, attempts were made to solve the problem of transporters through diplomatic channels, through the European Commission and the authorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia, but there were no concrete answers.
"During this time, nothing happened. We left a deadline of months and a half for the problem to be resolved, but without results. That's why we decided on more drastic protest measures," said Mandic.
