On my own initiative, I accepted to find out some information from the PIO fund instead of an important and dear person to me. Specifically: at which address can he get information about his seniority and the code for the application with the pension projection calculator.
There are three addresses of the PIO fund on the Internet, so since no one wants to wander from Nemanjina to Dr. Aleksandar Kostić to Venizelosova, especially if he has already experienced it, it is understandable that he would not want it to happen again. To make the misunderstanding worse, on the front page of the PIO fund's website, only the address in Nemanjina is listed, as if in the real world the other two do not even exist.
In any case, the phone was the fastest way to solve it all.
Sisyphean struggle with the call center
Two contact center phone numbers are listed on the website. The one with the area code 011 was busy in several attempts, and from the one at 0700... the female voice machine gave me a curt "we're sorry!", then added sternly "all operators are busy", and the connection was disconnected!
The PIO fund hung up on me after previously beating me on the head with the information that there is no operator for me, not deserving me of the usual phrase "call me later and thank you for the call"! How does it feel to a weak pensioner when something like this happens to him, does he think - what would happen to all that love for the oldest fellow citizens that the government constantly fills my ears with?
It doesn't matter, I thought, it's very possible that I ran into a moment when all 1.600.000 pensioners want something from the PIO fund, so the contact center is overloaded. And it's not easy for those operators either.
At 14:47 p.m., the PIO Fund machine told me in a female voice that I was the 13th in the waiting line and that the first free operator would call me as soon as possible. Only thirteen? Who will wait! Let's wait a bit, let's find out how quickly my chance increases, to give myself and them a chance, I'll give up easily. Maybe they're fast. After all, it is a PIO fund, they certainly have as many operators as SNS before the elections.
After four minutes I moved up two places, I calculated that it would be my turn in another 22 minutes, which is quite a lot, but somehow I took the book right then Give me your head, grandma. – memories of the omnibus film How Rock and Roll Failed collected by Vladislava Vojnović, and decided to wait while reading it.
The book seems to have completely bewildered me, because the next time I listened to what the PIO fund machine was saying to me, I was in fifth place, and it was already 15:32 p.m. However, fifth place compared to thirteenth doesn't sound so bad, and pensioners are slow and lonely, so they like to deceive operators who, by the nature of their work, are certainly painful towards them, so they won't speed them up - it's stupid to give up now when I've waited this long.
That I was in first place, I was told by the PIO fund machine at 16 pm. Now - I thought, and quickly went back to the book to grab as much as possible about the time when my life was beautiful.
At 16:47 the PIO fund disconnected me and brought me back to the present.
After exactly two hours of trance in a minute!
Nothing is clear to me.
For two hours, they lied to me that my chances were increasing, they lied to me that I had reached the first position and that I only needed a little more to reach the goal - they lied to me completely. And badly tricked.
The PIO fund exists because of the pensioners, how are they not ashamed to cheat the pensioners! Phew! A state institution, important and big, is behaving unprofessionally! I have no words.
And one more thing: calling the PIO fund is not free, which means that I will pay for this fraud as if I had chatted with someone for two hours. How long, people?!
A little after 17:80 p.m., I called the same number again, and the machine with a female voice answered again, but now it recited the powerful options that the PIO fund offers as a service to current and future users. I just need to understand all those expressions and names, and press the appropriate number on the keyboard at the right moment. I don't know how they expect someone XNUMX+ with poor eyesight and not enough phone skills to achieve that, but it doesn't matter.
I did everything I was told and found out everything I wanted. In a minute.
What was the case from a while ago, maybe some other machine that the PIO fund turns on when the contact center goes on break or for some other reason is not working? Two hours? Okay, no problem, let him take a break as long as he needs, it's not a shame. This is how it turns out that it pretends to work, but it doesn't actually work. Nothing is clear to me.
