At the extraordinary assembly of the Yugoslav Sports Association Partizan, held at the initiative of the clubs, new management was elected with the aim of improving working conditions and solving long-standing problems within the Association.
The new management is headed by Željko Tanasković, who was elected as the president of JSD Partizan. He replaced Ostoja Mijailović in that position.
Aleksandar Stanković was elected to the position of deputy president, while Nedeljko Jovanović, Andrea Arsović, Aleksandar Karakašević and Đorđe Višacki were elected as vice-presidents of the assembly, according to the JSD Partizan website.
The entire Management Board of JSD Partizan was also replaced, which included Željko Obradović, among others.
Addressing the public, President Tanasković emphasized that the new management was chosen with a clear goal — to create a stronger and more stable environment for all clubs within JSD Partizan.
- An extraordinary session of the assembly was held at the initiative of the clubs, because it was necessary to solve the problems that have been burdening JSD Partizan for years. Clubs have been unfairly neglected, and now is the time to change that. The new leadership comes with clear energy and determination to work together as one big black and white family in order to lay the foundations for a better future - said Tanasković.
He pointed out that the goal of the management is not only to solve accumulated problems, but also to raise all clubs to a higher level.
- This is not a change, but the installation of new energy and new people who intend to help the clubs. Anyone who wants to manipulate the facts should know that this is not about conflicts, but about joint work for the benefit of JSD Partizan. I invite all fans and the sports public to support us, because only together can we build a stronger Partizan.
He especially emphasized that the legendary coach Željko Obradović is an indispensable part of JSD Partizan.
- Željko Obradović is an icon of Partizan and will always have his place within the Sports Association. His contribution is indelibly woven into the history of this great sports collective - Tanasković added.
