Some drivers wonder if they should pay in these circumstances car park and the short answer is – yes.
Iz Parking services they say that the obligation to pay for parking applies regardless of winter conditions.
"Parking is paid for regardless of whether the vehicle is covered in snow or not. If no license plates or vignettes are visible, the system will not be able to read the vehicle and charge a fine. However, if the plate is visible, the scan-vehicle will register it and the user will be issued a fine for unpaid parking," the Parking Service states.
In other words, snow and ice do not release drivers from the obligation to pay for parking, even when the car has been standing motionless in the parking lot for days.
