Whites, as Belgraders call communal militiamen, they are getting new uniforms for the third time in two years.
The uniforms will be procured by the company MIM komerc, the same company that procured the uniforms for controllers, which are no longer available in city transport.
"This time the work cost 1,5 million euros, which is completely incomprehensible considering that there are barely over 500 communal militiamen working in Belgrade, which would mean that one uniform costs almost 3.000 euros per person," explains Nikola Jovanović from the Center for Local Self-Government for N1.
According to him, "two years ago, the same company procured the same uniforms for the Whites worth more than 250.000 euros and made uniforms for controllers who are not there."
In 2021 and 2022, this company achieved earnings of 46 million dinars, and in 2023 less than 500 thousand dinars. However, last year they had as much as 85 million dinars.
It is not known on the basis of which criteria the company MIM Komerc got the job this time and why the Whites are getting new uniforms again in a short period of time.
