The announcement states that the citizens will attempt to dissolve the city parliament by blocking the session of the Belgrade City Assembly.
"The last session of the city of Belgrade was on June 27, and by law, a new one must be organized within three months. Therefore, if the blockade of the session succeeds, and the new session is not held until September 27, the Belgrade parliament can be dissolved," points out the United Action of Activists and Choirs of Belgrade.
They state that "money from the Belgrade budget leaks into private hands and Burazera companies", employees' salaries are delayed and that Belgrade borrows from commercial banks to pay VAT on "the most expensive trams in the world that do not fit our rail system".
They add that the privatization and suffocation of GSP continues, the shutdown of Apoteka Belgrade and the sale of shops and the exclusion of the public from the public discussion regarding the expansion of Belgrade on the water.
The protest is organized by more than 10 Belgrade choirs and activist organizations, and the trade union "Opstanak" and employees of Apoteca Belgrade will also participate.
