"Unfortunately, the opposition is not united regarding the request for an extraordinary session on Kosovo and Metohija, and it should be given the complexity of the political and security situation in the southern Serbian province," Boško Obradović, leader of "Dveri" and MP in Assembly of Serbia.
As Obradović told "Vreme", colleagues from the rest of the opposition from the pro-Western political pole turned out to be very uncollegial and incorrect because they did not want to support the request initiated by the parliamentary groups Dveri, Zavetnik and the People's Party.
"After the May tragedies, we immediately supported their requests for an extraordinary session of the Parliament, as well as for the resignation of Bratislava Gašić, but they have not reciprocated this now. At that time, we did not see it as controversial that Miroslav Aleksić and Radomir Lazović would be the rapporteurs on behalf of all of us as proposers, and now it is disputed for them that Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski and I would be Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski and me on the topic of Kosovo and Metohija," says Obradović.
The leader of "Dveri" cannot believe that the rest of the opposition refused to support their request.
"Certainly, the topic of the extraordinary session on Kosovo and Metohija is more important than anything else and that we are ready to sit down and discuss how to overcome this and how to reach the request of 1/3 of the MPs to hold this session, although I still cannot believe that have refused to support our request. I hope that the reason is not that we asked to discuss the consequences of the Franco-German proposal for an agreement on the recognition of the fake state of Kosovo, because then that would mean that they have the same opinion as Vučić on that issue, that is, that they accept it, unlike those of us who propose that this new Western ultimatum be rejected immediately and in its entirety," he says.
As regards the arrest of Milan Radoičić due to suspicions that he organized the attack in Banjska, Obradović says that he is not interested in the personal relationships of the presidents of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić and Milan Radoičić.
"What is a much bigger problem is that their behavior harms the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija and the state of Serbia." What happened in Banjska is a severe humiliation of our country and a huge tragedy due to the loss of human lives. Those who led the previous disastrous policy towards Kosovo and Metohija, which brought us to this situation, have to answer for it and get out of the way, namely SNS and Srpska lista, Vučić and Radojičić. We need a completely different policy, new negotiators and new negotiations that would return to the UN Security Council, where we have allies in Russia and China," concludes Obradović.
