The company Lidl Serbia, with the desire to contribute to raising awareness about the preservation of biodiversity in the country, donated funds in the amount of 850.000 dinars to the Public Enterprise "Palić - Ludaš", with the aim of protecting wet habitats in the area of the Nature Park "Palić" and the Special Nature Reserve "Ludaško jezero". A sustainable solution for the preservation of biodiversity in this area, a project supported by Lidl, is the secure grazing of water buffaloes and Podolian cattle, with the help of which nature is successfully revitalized and the ecosystem is restored
As a socially responsible company, Lidl recognizes the importance of sustainability, especially taking into account the preservation of natural resources - that's why it strives to help solve environmental challenges both globally and locally with its activities. In our country, locations in the area around Palić and Ludaški Jezera face the drying out of wet habitats, which occurs as a result of excessive vegetation growth, which threatens the existing flora and fauna. Sustainable solutions, such as the grazing of Podolian cattle and water buffaloes, allow restoring the natural balance and preserve these ecosystems in the long term.
JP "Palić - Ludaš" has been implementing this type of grazing on Lake Palić since 2015, and since 2017 on Lake Ludaš. In order to ensure the continued protection of these ecosystems, the company Lidl Serbia provided food for the animals during the winter period, when grazing is not possible, as well as funds for the maintenance of barns and fences, which are crucial for their safety and well-being.

"The challenges of biodiversity protection seem complex and distant, but when we pay attention to the fact that very rare plant and animal species are disappearing in our immediate environment, it becomes clear that we must do something to preserve the natural beauty of Serbia. That is why we are proud to support the project of JP "Palić - Ludaš" and I believe that we will continue in the future", said Aleksandra Mirić from the CSR department at Lidl Serbia.
Conservation of nature through grazing is a solution based on natural methods, it is completely sustainable, and its application brings significant ecological and economic benefits. The herds that graze daily in the protected areas of the Palić and Ludaška lakes have enabled the return of plant and animal species that had previously left those areas due to the drying of the soil, such as marsh orchids, Siberian iris and small candles, but also birds such as the cattle heron and the red-legged sandpiper. Wet habitats are extremely efficient "absorbers" of carbon dioxide and contribute to reducing emissions and preserving climate balance. In addition, through the conservation of wetlands, aquatic life is preserved and the conditions for fish spawning are improved. The herds that walk freely in untouched nature are also an unusual attraction and attract numerous visitors, which improves the tourist potential of Lake Palić and Lake Ludaš.
Already in the summer, the Lidl Serbia company announced a new donation of 700.000 dinars, which will be directed to the support and development of existing capacities, with a special focus on education and development of ecotourism in this unique area, with the desire for visitors to learn about the values of this protected area through numerous ecological programs.

If the City of Belgrade would allocate only 30% of the revenue it receives for parking into an ecological fund and use it to improve public transport and new bicycle paths, as they do abroad, the air in the city would be cleaner.
Keeping sociology professor Marija Vasić in prison on charges of terrorism is an anti-civilization crime. Or grotesque, whatever you want. Why don't judges, prosecutors, policemen, security guards rebel against it

The Republic of Serbia is in danger. If we remain silent on the rigged process against political prisoners in Novi Sad and the Kraljeva case where the victims were declared violent, soon we will all go on hunger and thirst strikes for a shred of justice
