Three decades of conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia
When the army returns to Karabakh
By the highway between Fizuli and Shusha, there are billboards with the words "Karabakh is Azerbaijani". The distance between the two cities is less than one hundred kilometers, and they are connected by a new highway symbolically named "Victory Highway". However, to get from one place to another, it takes several hours due to the numerous military checkpoints where the identity of each passenger is checked. When you reach Shusha, which represents the cultural cradle of Azerbaijan, you enter a completely new city that is a symbol of victory in a conflict that lasted more than thirty years.
