Demonstrations against Nicolae Ceausescu began on December 16, 1989. The regime responded with force. A peasant cannot survive without a subsidy

The project "Our village" is intended to be an example and to show how agricultural production in today's village in Serbia could be efficient and how a modern Serbian farmer should do business. After a little more than a year since its beginning, the team of the weekly "Vreme" visited the villages of Dubočane and Mala Jasikova, half an hour's drive north of Zaječar, and talked with the villagers who are part of this program, which is planned to continue
