Vojvodina Forum - Culture of Dialogue (I) 14.September 2016 Prepared by: Mirko Rudić Challenges of free thought In the town of Bukovac, in the vicinity of Sombor, on September 9, a meeting called the Vojvodina Forum was held. This unique philosophical circle has existed for 20 years and until now has functioned out of the public eye, mostly in Novi Sad, and the participants simply call it the Salon. More than a hundred thinking individuals, mostly liberals, met once a month and discussed social discourses, exchanged views on political, philosophical, sociological and other topics relevant to Vojvodina and Serbian society.
Srboljub Antic 14.September 2016 For new people and a new program I want to reform the party and restore citizens' trust in it. This election is an opportunity for that. The fact that the DS elects the president in direct elections is also the reason why I decided to run for office
European integration and Serbia (7) 14.September 2016 Dejan Anastasijevic Roaming war The tenth negotiating chapter, which deals with media and information technology, concerns all citizens of Serbia
Dragan Sutanovac 14.September 2016 We can and must do better The offer to the citizens must not be reduced to the fact that they should vote for us because others are worse and we are less evil. Instead, I offer a team and a plan for a party in which members are equal, committees are free to decide on matters that concern them, and decisions are made in party bodies where everyone can freely express their opinion, in which the youth have the place they deserve
The second political life of Vojislav Šešelj 14.September 2016 Zora Drcelic Prime Minister Vučić's understudy When Šešelj reintroduced radicals to the Parliament this year, there were those who feared that the times would follow when we would vote for Vučić as a "lesser evil" because we are threatened by the Sešeljization of Serbia. It's as if no one has noticed that sheseljization has already happened to us, it's just called differently
Zoran Lutovac 14.September 2016 The problem is not in Vučić, but in us I believe that the Democratic Party needs a rational president who will rebuild the party in personnel and organization and restore the trust of the citizens. Throughout my career, I had one simple recipe for success: I always wanted to have better and more skilled people in my team
Slobodan Cvejić, PhD, sociologist 14.September 2016 Why are education reforms unsuccessful? In the prevailing climate of political clientelism in which all important positions in the public sector are subordinated to the interests of the party in power and put into the function of political promotion, the primary goals of the public education system are pushed into the background in relation to the particular goals of individuals and groups involved in clientelistic networks
Bojan Pajtic 14.September 2016 There is no other way for me I thought for a long time whether to run for office or to take the easy way out and retire. In a conversation with colleagues, seen people in the party and outside the party, with my family, I realized that I had to run for office, because anything else would be interpreted as agreeing and colluding with the most negative and defeating phenomena in our society that take us back to the 1990s.
Remote heating 14.September 2016 Milica Stojanović At the limit of profitability The system is burdened with debt, expensive and inefficient. Debts are often returned by municipalities, cities and the state, with the money of taxpayers, many of whom do not even use this type of heating.
Personal attitude 14.September 2016 Sladjanka Milošević Moving instead of reform The reform was reduced to a simple transfer of cases and employees, reduction of the number of employees, repetition of procedures due to a change of processor, interruption of reasonable deadlines, planned backfilling that reduces access to justice... The defendants and defendants benefit from such a reform, whose interests are that the procedures last indefinitely. or become obsolete
Interview - Dušan Mijić, one of the founders and host of the Salon 14.September 2016 M. R About jubilee, dialogue and fear "The Salon started its work when nationalism was flourishing. In our opinion, nationalism is the key to the misunderstanding between Serbia and the rest of the region. I think that it has not disappeared today. Therefore, the free exchange of views, the idea of how to break nationalism with a civil, free individual, is still the essence of our work. We differ today in the approach of how to fight against nationalism, but what we have in common is the search for ways to win freedom for the individual."
Interview - Srbijanka Turajlić, associate professor of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade 14.September 2016 Biljana Vasić Populist time buying "In Europe, there are three forms of dual education, in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The problem in those countries, especially in Austria, is that at the age of ten they take an entrance exam that determines who will go to high school and who will go to dual education. That is the education system that solves the problem of the children of guest workers who at that age do not know the language well enough to pass the entrance exam and continue their education in a classical gymnasium. It is a deeply unfair system, but the state has solved the problem of doing business which usually no one falls for"
Interview - Veselin Simonović, "Blic" 14.September 2016 Radoslav Cebic I solved the pressures with two words When the progressives came to power, I think they tried to take revenge on me for that diploma and that's why I went through the media torture of Pink, "Informer", "Kurir" on two occasions for several months. They played it on Pink Montenegro, knowing that my family was watching it there. My mother calls me from there and says: "Son, whoa, what's this? You're more on TV than Milo." And I still think that I was not wrong to be against the president of the country being someone who bought a diploma. And I would do it now, again
Elektroprivreda Srbije - Price increases instead of reforms 14.September 2016 Radmilo Marković Like the country, like the EPS Two years ago, the Government of Serbia decided to start its "painful and unpopular" reforms by hitting the citizens' pockets, that is, by reducing salaries and pensions, and to postpone solving the biggest and most difficult problems indefinitely. In a similar way, Elektroprivreda Srbije cannot start a fundamental reform of the company, and since the "reforms" of the largest company in the country, we have had, more or less, only two increases in the price of electricity.
exclusive 15.march 2001 Igor Mekina and Svetlana Vasović-Mekina Confession of Mira Marković "I believe that the members of the SPS and JUL, those who are not mentioned in the newspapers and on television as thieves, rich or that they are suspicious and responsible for some other reason - I believe that they are the ones who made an agreement with the new authorities to that government protects their material and other interests, their rather large wealth, and that in return they contribute to the bribery of their yesterday's comrades and personal friends"
Interview - Sanda Rašković-Ivić, Commissioner for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia 15.march 2001 Jelena Grujić We don't want ghettoization "Refugees have been manipulated like no other population in recent times. Perhaps only the mentally ill were manipulated that way in the Soviet Union during Stalin's reign of terror."
The case of the three beaten 15.march 2001 Uroš Komlenović Nothing new in Pozarevac The new authorities shout at the top of their voices that those responsible for the collapse of the state will be tried. Wouldn't it be more logical to rehabilitate the victims first?
Macedonia 15.march 2001 Nenad Lj. Stefanović The collapse of ethnic romanticism In some reflections on the latest events not only in Macedonia but also in the south of Serbia, one hears how the Albanian side is allegedly trying to catch the "last train" for a more comprehensive solution to its own issue and to reach, possibly, a new Dayton by radicalizing the situation on the ground.
