Serbia-Austria - Aspects of bilateral relations from 1836 to 1914. 09.September 2014. Hannes Leidinger Notes of stormy relationships On Monday, September 8, an exhibition dedicated to Austrian-Serbian relations from 1836 to 1914 under the title "Notes of turbulent relations" was opened in the Konak of Princess Ljubica in Belgrade. The exhibition was organized by the Austrian Cultural Forum Belgrade, the Institute for Contemporary History and the Museum of the City of Belgrade. Authors, Assoc. Dr. Hannes Leidinger from the University of Vienna, Dr. Danilo Šarenac, research associate at the Institute for Contemporary History, and Vladimir Tomić, senior curator of the Museum of the City of Belgrade, tried to make this exhibition of documentary materials and works of art, as well as the accompanying, very exhaustive catalog of the exhibition, present a network of densely intertwined, close, but at the same time complicated relations between two peoples and two countries, not neglecting the political contradictions that led to war in 1914.
